Kim has been doing scheduled 5 min stretch breaks in the middle of each session of a leadership course I’m instructing. She ‘pops in on Zoom at a scheduled time, we invite participants to stay on webcam, and participation rates are approximately 100%. The stretch breaks offer a refreshing and restorative change-up from 3 hours of Zoom stupor. It won’t surprise anyone who knows Kim to hear that she conducts these short breaks with perfect timing, the right level of fitness demands, and her characteristically chipper enthusiasm. Hi! I’m Kim, the founder of WorkBreakStretch! Since 2010, I’ve led over 3,000 office-friendly movement and stretch breaks for professionals across industries, from manufacturing to government leadership. I’ve seen firsthand how just a few minutes of purposeful movement can boost energy, focus, and morale.
I started WorkBreakStretch to make movement more accessible in the middle of busy workdays. What truly drives me is shifting the mindset that movement only counts if it's a full workout. There’s definitely a place for that, but it’s not the only way to move your body.
